This week the Fun 'n' Flair DT's challenge is anything but a card (ABC) in red, green and gold.
I had some gold foil paper that was perfect for this project. I haven't made a 3-D project in a while so this challenge was just what I needed to get me to start making small gift items for Christmas. I made a pillow box using the stocking from Miss Shayla at Christmas Time. I used DCWV's Christmas Stack to cover the pillow box. I then stamped the stocking onto white cardstock and colored it in using my Copic markers. I created the crosshatch lines on the green part of the stocking by using a blender pen. I then added some gold pearls to the cuff. I used gold foil paper to cut out the tag. I also cut the tag on white cardstock to stabilize the gold paper. I then ran it through my Cuttlebug to emboss the tag. I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and sponged it using gold ink. Last of all I ran a line of gold stickles along the edge of the sentiment. The ribbon was in my stash that I bought at Michael's.
This is a close-up of the decorations.
The design team has created some awesome projects to share with you.
