Birthday Gift Set

Things have settled down a bit for me now that school is done for the semester. I have a review for you using Oriental Trading's wonderful line of craft and hobby supplies

Oriental Trading carries a wide range of crafting products, party supplies and toys and games for every occasion. I chose some fun products to create papercrafting projects with. The gift box and envelope punch comes in really handy. There are various sizes to choose from. The smallest is 1 3/4" up to a 4" box. These are perfect to put treats and various other gifts in. I love the envelope punch, no more buying envelopes. I can create pretty much any size I need to match with my card.

On this birthday card, I stamped the image and colored it in using Copic markers. I used one of the textured papers as the cardbase. I am used to thicker cardstock so this was a bit different although the cream cardstock does a wonderful job when it came to coloring the stamped image. This type of cardstock weight is perfect for making envelopes. It's just the right thickness for it. I love the flowers for embellishing this card. I used both the tulle and the pearl flowers. The flowers are soft and would be a great idea to use in hair clips or bookmarks.

The gift box was a snap to  put together. The score lines make it super easy to fold. I decided to use the satin ribbon to pull it together and added a tag to finish it off. I will try to get a video tutorial up soon to demo the envelop and the box. I love these two punches. It makes things easier when making gifts.
